GreenNode is proud to announce that it has achieved PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification as a Cloud Service Provider, following an independent assessment conducted by SISA Information Security Worldwide (SISA), a globally recognized Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
This achievement marks an important milestone in GreenNode’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Cloud security and governance, particularly in supporting businesses with stringent data protection requirements across banking and finance, fintech, digital payments, e-wallets, and e-commerce.
What Is PCI DSS?
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a global security standard for organizations that store, process, or transmit cardholder data, or that can impact the security of the Cardholder Data Environment (CDE).
The current version, PCI DSS v4.0.1, places greater emphasis on maintaining and continuously operating security controls as part of day-to-day business activities. It also introduces a more flexible approach through the Customized Approach, allowing organizations to determine suitable methods for meeting the standard’s security objectives.
PCI DSS comprises 12 groups of security requirements, covering key aspects of technology environments associated with cardholder data.

PCI DSS: A Key Advantage in Enterprise Compliance
For businesses in banking, finance, fintech, digital payments, e-wallets, and e-commerce, PCI DSS is an important standard when evaluating infrastructure and Cloud providers for systems involving cardholder data.
Choosing a PCI DSS-certified Cloud Provider in Vietnam gives enterprises an additional foundation for meeting security requirements while streamlining vendor assessments and compliance reviews.
When workloads are hosted on infrastructure provided by a PCI DSS-compliant Service Provider, enterprises may reference the infrastructure-level controls assessed by a QSA, depending on the service scope and applicable responsibility model. This can help businesses:
- Optimize the scope of PCI DSS assessments
- Reduce compliance time and resources
- Reduce the volume of infrastructure-level evidence required
- Strengthen assurance when selecting a Cloud Provider
Strengthening a Secure Cloud Foundation for Enterprises
GreenNode’s achievement of PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification represents another important step in building a Cloud platform that meets the increasingly stringent security and compliance requirements of modern enterprises.
Under the Shared Responsibility Model, GreenNode’s PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification helps establish a clear scope of controls at the Cloud infrastructure layer. This allows customers to focus their resources on the layers within their own responsibility, rather than duplicating controls and assessments that have already been independently evaluated at the infrastructure level.
For businesses in banking, finance, fintech, payments, e-commerce, and other industries handling cardholder data, PCI DSS provides an important additional layer of assurance when evaluating infrastructure and selecting a Cloud Provider.
GreenNode will continue to invest in security, risk management, operational standards, and infrastructure capabilities to build a trusted Cloud foundation that enables enterprises to deploy and scale mission-critical workloads with confidence.
